Evellys
Between river and valley
20 minutes from Pontivy, the new town of Evellys takes its name from the full of fish local rivers. Churches, chapels and crosses scatter the landscape. In the village of Moric, the pretty chapel dedicated to Notre-Dame des Fleurs is open all summer, as part of Art in the Chapels.
The Ewen's gardens, nestled at the heart of a valley and protected by century-old embankments, present remarkable collections of camellias, rhododendrons, hydrangeas and rose bushes.
The Coëtdan leisure centre includes a 3.5 hectare lake, a children's playground, a mini-golf course, pedal boats and a wildlife reserve. Free access all year round. Paid activities in summer.
