An unfinished construction
Listed Historic Monument, of “Renaissance” style, it shows beautiful sculptures on the dormers, lintels and fireplaces.
Many items are there to show that was manor supposed to be completed on the existing building southwest part: waiting stones, walled openings, unfinished chimney…
There is also, around Lemay manor, a wonderful dovecote of more than 850 nesting boxes (called bollards), a well and a bread oven… The works created as part of the International Symposium on Monumental Sculpture on Breton Granite in 1996 are exhibited in the manor’s orchard.
One can no longer visit the great pavilion even though it offers monumental and singular stairs with bollards in the inside.
